APEX started as five friends and a borrowed router in 2019. Today we are 41 players, staff and creators across three titles — still playing for the same city.

Our story

We believe the best teams are built, not bought. That means investing in academy players, paying every pro a living wage and treating mental health like aim training — daily.

  1. 2019Founded in Austin with a Rocket League trio and $4,000 in savings.
  2. 2021First Valorant roster; qualifies for Challengers in its debut split.
  3. 2023Opens the East Austin bootcamp and launches the Apex Academy.
  4. 2025Adds Counter-Strike 2. Wins Red Bull Home Ground Qualifier.
  5. 2026Hits 1.2M followers and hosts the first Austin Showdown LAN.
